I walked onto the campus and the gate was opened. Security guards were dunking their doughnuts into their coffee. The principal was in the office giving the secretary the announcement for the morning. I walked past the sign that said “Welcome to Pearl Rose High” My name is Robin and I am a junior this year. We sat around watching the quad and spring was definitely in the air. You could see couples making out and more. I glance over and notice Maria was all only and by herself. I went over to Maria. “Girls chill out” Selene said.

“See you” Angel said and stormed off.
“Wait Angel” Selene said.
Later for some reason, Angel has been acting different and she needs to relax. Maria sat down next to me. We shared lunch and I tried to get my mind off of Angel.
“Thanks for everything” Maria said.
She interrupted my thought and I went back to reality.

I started to notice that Selene was quiet for the rest of lunch.
“Well I got be going because the bell about to ring” I said.
“What class are you going to?” Maria asked.
“Study Hall”

Maria and I walked to study hall and I wondered why my friends are buggin. The bell rang and the study hall door closed. We were late and Principal Wardin was going to be trippin about this. I looked inside to find Angel was smiled and she was sitting beside Chris. My face turned red with fire and Maria show it.
“Let’s get out of here” Maria suggested.
“Yea…” I said and trying to cool down.
We walked to the quad, sat against the south wall, and talked about boys.
“Who is cuter? Chris Brown or Bow Wow?” Maria asked.

Time passed and the dismissal bell rang. Maria and I gathered our stuff and proceed to the gate.
“You want to come over my house” I said.
“Sure but I got to call my mom” Maria said.
We walked toward my house and Maria placed out her phone. The phone rang about 4 times and she got an answer.
“Hello mom” Maria said.
“Can I go over my friend Robin’s house?”

We walked my house which is about 10 minutes walk from school. My mom had my snack in the table.
“Robin? That’s you sweetie?” mom asked.

We got the snacks off the table and plopped down on the couch. I got sodas and remote control turned on the TV. We watched TV for a while and Maria got up looked at the clock on the wall.
“I forgot to call my mom” Maria said.
“I got to going home and take care something”
Maria called her mom and the phone rang 3 times. She got an answer, it wasn’t her mom, but I don’t know who it was.
“Where are you?” he yelled.
“I am over my friend house” she said.
“You need to get home right now”
“Your chores are piling up” he said.
“Where you at?” he yelled.
“I am on Glen Cove”
“I will be there in five minutes” he yelled.
The phone hung up and she was silence. Maria left without saying a word and she was in shock. I rubbed my head and my stomach felt tight. The air was unusual but I can’t shake a strange feeling that something was going happen.
Maria
I walked out of Robin’s house and I looked back. I saw Robin looking out of the window and the car arrived at the curb. I opened the car door and I got in the car. We drove off of the scene and I kissed him.

“Sorry baby I was just hanging out with my new friend Robin” I said.
“So what up with you and Angel?” he asked.

“I don’t need both of my girlfriends to be fighting”

“Mark you know you worry too much” I said and kissed him.
Mark turned on Martha Avenue and headed toward his house. I missed my baby and I am nervous to tell Mark about my problem. I am late and I think my mom is getting suspicious. I got to stop by the store before my mom figures out.

“I love you too” he said.
“Baby you know I want a family?” I said.
“So what you saying that you are pregnant…if you are we can’t keep it” he said.
“I don’t need some kid to mess up my career” he said.
My face was whitewashed and fear take residence on my face. I started to think to myself that maybe he just needed some time. We arrived at his house, got off the car, and went up stairs. Mark laid me across his bed and I spread my legs. Well it least one thing wont change and that is the sex.
Angel

Chris went back to studying and I went to read the class novel “Scarlet Letter”. I glanced up; saw Robin and Maria laughing, and I frowned. Chris marked his paper, closed his book, and sighed.
“What wrong with you now?” he said and looked toward Robin.
“O it is Robin…what is the problem with you and Robin?” he asked.
“None of your business” I snapped.
“Angel don’t snap my neck off” he said.
“I am your friend” he said.
“I’m sorry I just don’t trust that Maria girl” I said.
“Well don’t worry and it’s probably nothing” he said.
I calm my nerves and Chris had a way of calming me down. I am glad he is my friend and not my enemy. I had another problem but I can’t tell anyone. I went to the clinic to make sure and they say the test results will be in tonite. I guess I will just have to wait on them. The bell rang for dismissal of all students and I raced out of class. “Yea! I am not worry because I got Angel sprung.” Mark said and I rolled my eyes.
“Yea man! I told her I will talk you about it and yea” Chris said.
“But aight man take it easy” Chris said.
“Aight man. Holla at you dawg.” Mark said.
Chris headed toward me; I raced to my locker, and stuck my head in my locker. He passed by and I looked to see if the coast was clear. It was clear so I looked around the corner. It was too much for me to watch and I raced out of the school at full speed toward Angel’s house.
I looked at my watch and it was almost 3:30. I have to secure my business investment and at all cost.

I kissed her on the cheek and left the school. I went into the parking lot, got into my truck, and drove to Clarks Blvd. I raced down the streets and I saw a cop. “Really?”
“Word on the street, Rome trying to set you up” I said.

“I think I need to make an example”

“What if you guaranteed that Hector can supply and pay more would you be interested?” I asked.
“O sure I am a business man” Antwan said.
“Tell Hector we have a deal” Antwan said.
“As for Caesar is going to be terminated” Antwan said.

“Pleasure doing business with you” I said.
I hang up the phone and started up my engine. I headed to Angel’s house for our anniversary and I know that my girl cooked and prepare.

Two big guys came out of the back and started busting. Bullets started flying and smoke filled the air. We fired back with full force and it became a scramble. I realized that I was hit and I could shoot anymore. Andre showed that I was down and he dragged me to the car. He went back in the warehouse for the bags and the money. Then, I showed Maria walking down the streets and one of the big guy brought a missile launcher. He fired the launcher and I ran toward Maria to him. A mass of explosion wiped it everything away.
